Dismas House was fed again this month. (May) Thank you, Barbara, for the whoopie pies and Robin for the salad. They had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and Robin’s favorite carrots for a vegetable. They are very appreciative of the dinners they get. Janice and Carol will be doing May. If anyone would like to take a month, just let me know. It’s the third Tuesday of the month. There is money available if you need it. It is a very rewarding experience to help the men that live there get back to their lives.
Ladies, let’s be thinking about new ways to help do some fundraising...besides a flea market! Be creative! Send ideas to Gail or to the office. All input is appreciated, this is a group effort!
A big thank you to everyone who pledged on Stewardship Sunday. We had a total of 30 pledges, which is the best we have had in years. This will certainly help us when I make the applications out for our two grants.
If you have not pledged yet, there are cards at the church you can leave in the offering plate. From home, let me know and I will send one to you. It can be mailed to the church to my attention. Thank you all for all your support!!! The finance committee appreciates it. God is watching over us with a smile! - Gail Ilvonen
Speaking for the church, a huge thank you to Gail for all she does all the time. A special thank you for all her yummy hard work preparing that Pasta dinner on Stewardship Sunday. We love you Gail.
A very special thank you to Paul & Susan Ferrante and Barbara Hunt for all their help pricing and setting up for our Flea market. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
Thank you to all the ladies who made and baked 14 beautiful apple pies, to sell at the bake table. Barbara Hunt, Priscilla Chesna Donna Michelson, Marlene Holdridge, Nijola Price, Brenda Joyce and Vicky Copp. Excellent job, ladies.
