We will be doing boxes for this project again at our Tuesday, November 12th meeting of UMW. Gail will be printing a list of do’s and don’ts to pack in the boxes, so that we may begin to bargain shop to help fill the boxes. She will also have an example box available to help with ideas of appropriate items. We did 38 boxes last year, Let’s aim for 50 this year! If you would like to contribute but can’t shop, let Gail or the church office know and we can shop for you.
P.S. A Rug has been ordered for the Nursery with the money that was collected in our special offerings. We can’t wait for you to see it! Thank you again for your generosity. Robin Mercurio & Becky Ploof
A big thank you to everyone who pledged on Stewardship Sunday. We had a total of 30 pledges, which is the best we have had in years. This will certainly help us when I make the applications out for our two grants.
If you have not pledged yet, there are cards at the church you can leave in the offering plate. From home, let me know and I will send one to you. It can be mailed to the church to my attention. Thank you all for all your support!!! The finance committee appreciates it. God is watching over us with a smile! - Gail Ilvonen
Speaking for the church, a huge thank you to Gail for all she does all the time. A special thank you for all her yummy hard work preparing that Pasta dinner on Stewardship Sunday. We love you Gail.
A very special thank you to Paul & Susan Ferrante and Barbara Hunt for all their help pricing and setting up for our Flea market. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
