Mother’s Day Breakfast
May, 10th
The Mother’s Day Breakfast will be conducted a bit differently this year. It will be a pre-pay event at $5.00 per person for all people. Mothers who attend will have payment for their breakfast refunded at the event.
The change is necessary to get an accurate count for the event; in the past it has been impossible to predict how many people planned to attend and often times way more food was available than people to eat it. In trying to be good stewards of the bounty that God has given us, this change becomes necessary.
As a rule, walk-ins will be seated only if they would not impact those who had RSVP’d.
.UMW
March 20th the UMW ladies got together and filled all the Easter eggs with candy. There had to be over 500 eggs. Thank you to everyone who donated the candy and small toys that filled the eggs. It took us much longer to stuff the eggs (and we had fun doing it), than it took the kids to gather them up at Kid’s Club
DISMAS HOUSE
Janice and Carol took charge of feeding the guys at Dismas House for the month of March. They made meatloaf, baked potatoes, a huge tossed salad and several desserts. Thank you ladies.
I, along with Barbara and Robin (I haven’t asked them yet, but I’m sure they will help) will provide the April meal.
WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR OTHER GROUPS TO HELP WITH THIS. IT DOES YOUR HEART GOOD! ❤️
THE STATE OF OUR CHURCH
We have the largest budget in 2026 than we have ever had. It is going to be hard to make ends meet at the end of the year if we don’t get your help. $126,926.00 is the projected budget for this year. We have 2 churches renting from us for a total of $12,000.00 a year, Oxford is paying the parsonage utilities, which was $8,900.00 in 2025.
We must pay the conference $30,000.00 in insurance payments, which include the pastors health insurance and pension, property insurance of $12,000.00 a year, and workmen’s comp insurance for our employees.
We also must pay Mission Shares to the conference of $15,000.00. Since I have been treasurer, we have always paid the conference at 100% of our bill.
Just to get through the first 3 months of 2026, I had to use $7,500.00 of UMW money, and we haven’t even started paying the Mission Funds yet.
We need to take more money out of our own pockets, which I know is hard with our own expenses being very high, or we can do much more fund raising. We had the corned beef and cabbage dinner and Amy’s bake sale as two great fundraisers. We need more!! We also have the UMW fair in the fall and the mother-day-pinning and father-day-pinning celebrations. These three occasions are great, but we NEED MORE FUNDRAISERS!!
Let me know if you have any ideas! Gail
-Sunday worship service at 11:00 a.m.
A staffed nursery for children up to age 3 is available during the service.
Children's education for 4-8 years, 9-14 also is available during the service.
We now have a sensory room for children on the spectrum who are not able to attend our other programs.

Huge thanks to ourkitchen crew, dessert makers, servers and cleanup crew. We couldn't do this without you. A very special thank you to Janice for shopping, helping with the set up and doing a great decorating job, as well as bringing your friends from Sutton.
Thank you all!!!

AmyZing Treats
A very large shout out to Amy Laprade for her truly amazing bake/candy sale.
Amy donated her time and talent in making all the treats that she then sold during our Kid’s Club and again Sunday morning. She then donated all of the proceeds that were made from the sales to the church. This totaled $835.00.
This will help our budget. Thank you again Amy.
